Summer Program
What is Summer Program?

The Summer Program provides experienced au pairs to US Host Families requiring a maximum of 45 hours of child care per week, maximum 10 hours per day. This is an exciting opportunity for child care during the summer months when children are out of school.

Summer Au Pairs provide quality child care in exchange for Room and Board, a weekly stipend of $195.75 and up to $250 towards completing their 3 semester credits of education.

All requirements for the Summer Program are the same as the Standard Program.


ขั้นตอนการเข้าร่วมโครงการออแพร์ภาคฤดูร้อน

1. คัดเลือกรอบที่ 1 – สอบภาษาอังกฤษและสอบจิตวิทยา มีค่าธรรมเนียมการสอบ 300บาท
2. คัดเลือกรอบที่ 2 – สอบสัมภาษณ์ภาษาอังกฤษฟรีสำหรับผู้ที่ผ่านการสอบในรอบที่ 1
3. ผู้ที่ผ่านการสัมภาษณ์ในรอบที่ 2 สามารถสมัครเข้าร่วมโครงการออแพร์ภาคฤดูร้อนได้ มีค่าสมัครและดำเนินการ 1000 บาท
4. ผู้ที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกโดยครอบครัวเจ้าภาพเพื่อเข้าร่วมโครงการระหว่างวันที่ 15 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2549 ถึง 15 กันยายน พ.ศ. 2549 จะชำระค่าใช้จ่ายส่วนที่เหลือ 930 เหรียญดอลล่าสหรัฐ พร้อมได้รับการอบรมเพิ่มเติมเกี่ยวกับการดูแลเด็กภาคภาษาไทย 120 ชั่วโมง และอบรมภาคภาษาอังกฤษเกี่ยวกับการดูแลเด็กในอเมริกาอีก 32 ชั่วโมง

• ในกรณีที่ผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการมิได้รับวีซ่า J 1 ผู้เข้าร่วมจะได้รับเงินคืนเป็นจำนวน 745 เหรียญดอลล่าสหรัฐ
• ในกรณีที่ผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการยกเลิกโครงการหลังจากตกลงได้ครอบครัวแล้ว จะไม่มีการคืนเงินใด ๆ ให้กับผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการ
• ถ้าผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการสามารถจบโครงการ เรียนหนังสือตามกฏโกออแพร์และเดินทางกลับประเทศไทย ผู้ร่วม โครงการจะได้รับตั๋วเดินทางกลับประเทศไทยฟรี และ เงินเข้าร่วมโครงการคืน จำนวน 500 เหรียญดอลล่าสหรัฐ
• ถ้าผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการไม่สามารถอยู่จนจบโครงการได้ ผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการจะไม่ได้รับเงินเข้าร่วมโครงการคืน จำนวน 500 เหรียญดอลล่าสหรัฐ และจะต้องรับผิดชอบค่าตั๋วเครื่องบินกลับประเทศไทยเอง

5. สำหรับผู้ที่มิได้รับการเลือกจากครอบครัวเจ้าภาพ สามารถเลือกที่จะเข้าร่วมโครงการอื่น ๆ ของโกออแพร์ ดังต่อไปนี้

• อัพเกรดสถานะการสมัครจากออแพร์ภาคฤดูร้อนเป็น ออแพร์ 1 ปี พร้อมชำระค่าสมัครเพิ่มอีก 2500 บาท (ภายใต้เงื่อนไขว่าจะต้องฝึกเลี้ยงเด็กในสถานที่เป็นทางการ ในกรณีที่ไม่มีประสบการณ์จากสถานที่ดังกล่าวมาก่อน) หลังจากอัพเกรดเข้าร่วมโครงการออแพร์ปกติแล้ว ค่าใช้จ่ายโครงการหลังได้รับคัดเลือกครอบครัวคือ 760 เหรียญดอลล่าสหรัฐ
• ผู้สมัครยังคงรักษาสถานภาพการเข้าร่วมโครงการออแพร์ภาคฤดูร้อนสำหรับปี 2550 ด้วยค่าธรรมเนียม 100 บาท โดยในปีถัดไป ทางเจ้าหน้าที่โกออแพร์จะทำการติดต่อผู้ที่ต้องการเข้าร่วมโครงการในปีถัดไปว่ายังมีความต้องการเข้าร่วมโครงการอีกหรือไม่

Process of Summer Au Pair Program

1. First round - English test and psychology test – There is a fee of 300 Baht
2. Second round - Free English interview for those who pass first round
3. Those who pass the interview will have a chance to apply for the SUMMER AU PAIR PROGRAM – The program fee is 1,000 Baht
4. Those who are selected by a host family to join them between May 15th, 2006 – September 15th, 2006, will pay 930 dollars. This will include 120 hours childcare training in April. 32 hours DVD training.

• If they do not get visa, they will get the refund of 745 dollars back.
• If they complete the program and study and return to Thailand, they will receive the refund with the amount of 500 dollars.
• If they cannot complete the program, they will not get any refund and pay for their own ticket home.

5. Those who are not selected will have a chance to choose between 2 options:

• Change their status from SUMMER AU PAIR to REGULAR AU PAIR with the additional fee of 2,500 Baht (Under the condition of getting some more formal childcare training if do not have any). In this case, after upgrade to Regular au pair, the program fee after match is 760 dollars
• Waive the fee to join SUMMER AU PAIR Program again in year 2007 – the additional fee is 100 Baht. Staff will contact applicants again in year 2007 to check if they want to continue
